I thought I’d take you along for a slow Sunday, spending time in our kitchen that we’ve been building and collecting herbs and ingredients from our garden, showing our daily routine and rituals.
I needed to make some oat milk (here’s the recipe from Minimalist Baker:
The leftover oats I made banana pancakes with strawberries picked fresh from our homestead.

A little of our story:
Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

GO 'POOL !!!!!
Peaceful! lovely video.
Hello Iwan, Carissa, Frankie & Albi! I have something for you. This is a video from youtube about how to plant without digging.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vGvidztqx0
Thank you for another beautiful video!

Was expecting to see you coming home on the handlebars of the electric bike
Sunflower good for controlling fly's…….keeps the fly's of cattle for Masi in africa
Lovely video! Flies not sure if it’s been recommended but adding a coin in a small bag half filled with water seems to work ( hang nr doors, windows and wherever you are sat) it creates prisms which deter flies apparently
This was a very calm Sunday video – unlike the actual football Sunday which was very exciting ( sorry Man City got it but I’m a happy Spurs fan!
) xx
Love your kitchen and your garden it's beautiful.
Haha.. Frankie got home first

I’m loving your garden Carissa, wishing you every success this growing season.
I picked you up from the time Bee and Theo visited you. Things have changed so much with your hard work and effort.
Love your work
Cheers from Australia
Mmmm I’m going to make those banana pancakes for breakfast tomorrow, they look delicious. I’m trying to do the same, make a salad from the garden everyday so satisfying and yummy.
Frankie seemed a bit subdued at the start of the video but was back to her usual bubbly self when you walked to your friends house lol
Your calm Sunday video from your sweet lives is balm for the soul for more than just me in the USA in terrible times. You are sharing goodness, and that is never lost. We are all connected

You just make me remember the song from Simon and Garfunkel

nice content. All the best
…. Rosemary and thyme. Remember that one one of my favorites

Hello Iwan, Carissa, Frankie & Albi!
Carissa I notice that you drink herb tea that you make yourself. I find that very interesting. Could you tell us more about that, e.g. the types of herb you mix together and also do you do that just for the taste or does that have certain health benefits. Thank you in advance
i think that your newly finished kitchen shelf construction is an abstract/cubist masterpiece ! Even the little nooks make it better ; don't change a thing ! J
A nice and quiet video, thank you for that!
Lovely.
I so enjoyed this video. Like you said, it is a slow moving video today, and I just loved it. I love seeing your gardens, and the animals. It was very interesting how you made out milk, and I enjoy seeing how you make your herbal teas.
The oat milk looks awesome! i will have to try it!.. why is no one over there seems to use small wind turbines?… when i was up in the mountains a few years ago, if it rained there always seemed to be wind.. i was designing a system , for a similar property i look at over there! but covid changed my plans!.. two 300 watt solar panels and two 300 watt chinese wind turbines which cost around £200 each, and if one breaks always have a back up!.. just a suggestion, love your home and location! you had the right idea! keep it up..
Hello
good seeing your recipe
and your place is getting to be more and more special with your work …and jealous, missing Portugal
…I loved the spring and summer…longer days…
Short video guys, what's going on?
Carissa, the video quality is exceptional, don't worry!
How come you guys don't turn on the lights when filming inside?
I thought you had a good well on your property, how come you have to go collect water elsewhere?
You could try growing Sarracenia, it preys on flies
Wow
Your organic shelf unit has aStar Wars look about it The light playing on it is so soft.
Citroenella or Lemon essential oil dabbed on door frames or make an air spray 1 cap gin or vodka, a spray bottle 10 to 15 drops citroenella essential oil and 125 ml spring water shake up and then spritz doorway and window openings.
Such a relaxing video. The garden looks great. It seems like you are enjoying getting organized in your finished kitchen. Yay. Wanted to send seeds and such.. How do I get your PO Box?? Cheers
