– Lisbon Airbnb:
This semi-modern traditional style beach home is stunning, accompanied with a inground backyard pool. The neighbourhood is quiet and community is friendly and welcoming to tourists. You will find small shops and restaurants only steps from the home. The place itself is very clean and well developing, there are basic necessities within a 5 minute drive from the property and only a 30 min drive to Lisbon. Furniture is comfortable and the pool table is a fun addition. The wifi speed is impeccable which makes up for not having a dryer. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation by the beach away from all the hustle and bustle.

– Lisbon Rental Car:
Budget saved us last minute when our Hertz rental failed. The representative was extremely understanding, helpful and informative. Their price was competitive and reasonable. I would recommend renting with Budget but be aware when renting an automatic car is Lisbon the price can double. Therefore assign a driver who can drive standard.

– Lisbon Barbershop:
This quirky barbershop is in the heart of Lisbon in the Baixa Chiado district. The barbershop upholds their “only classic cuts” motto. I chose to get the “combo” option which included the haircut and an old school shave. The barber was understanding and patient while I filmed between cuts. The shop is favourite to some well-known Portuguese soccer players and a staple for many retro hairstyle lovers. Id recommend this barbershop for a good classic and self-pampering be prepared for a 2hr visit.

– Steak Dinner:
The restaurant at the Palacio Chiado is both a visual and gastrnomical experience. From the tall ceilings, had-painted walls to the veal tartare and champagne sangria everything is handled with great detail. I would recommend a meal here for anyone visiting this artsy area, considering its a fine dining experience the cost of a 3 course meal is pretty reasonable when comparing to what the cost would be in North America. It’s worth it for the view.

– Engagement Ring:
The engagement ring shopping process is stressful in general, here in Lisbon it was confusing and different from what a North American experience would be. It took a full day and 15 stores before we found this lovely jeweller. Goncalo was quick to help us and see the vision of Ashley’s dream ring. He has handled the design and creation process while keeping us closely informed and excited.
