Hello! And welcome to the 5th Episode in our Portugal series as we apply for the Portuguese D7 Passive Income Visa also known as the National Visa.

We’ve been ‘stuck’ in the UK (again) since returning to see loved ones over Christmas while we wait for our Visa. After nearly 6 months of waiting, we’ve been declined AGAIN, and we’re now on our second appeal!

In this episode we look at why we got declined, our appeal direct with the Portuguese consulate and some fabulous GOOD NEWS!

Not only does the D7 Visa allow us to resume travel (correct at the time of posting), but we can effectively bypass most of the Brexit travel restrictions, including the 90/180 Schengen max days in the EU/Schengen Zone.

We’ve now decided to do a runner! PCR COVID-19 tests in hand and escape to Portugal to look at land, will we be able to get to Spain in under 24hours? As we have to transit through France due to current travel restrictions.
