This week I went on an EPIC road trip from Lisbon to Lalande. After a busy summer running the workshops and chambres d’hotes at the chateau, I decided to treat myself to a week of beautiful hotels to get lots of inspiration for our winter renovations. From sleek concrete and glass modernity to palatial charm, beach chic to city life, I tasted luxury in all its forms. And stopped on the way at breathtaking historical sites to learn of passionate stories of forbidden love. I hope you enjoy joining us for the ride!!!

Wow the bathroom is stunning!
Loved the footage of the scenery, hotel rooms, and food. But, Portugal and Spain–and no footage of painted tiles? I love tile and I think you would too because you love porcelain. I collect tiles and have them framed to hang on walls. They take up less space and cost less than pottery.
Love Portugal. Lived for a year near the beach Mason surfed at near Cascais. Coimbra is wonderful too, so unspoiled. I Must go back and that hotel is so special a hidden gem. I know it. Had no idea you had done Portugal

Epic vlog! from your damp pilgrimage to Shakespeare's homes, to the incredible food at the Woodsman, roadtripping with Mason (loved hearing Talking Heads), the ambience of the hotels- and love the historic you visit and guide us through. A trip to dream of.

I don’t understand why all you lovely people don’t fall in love and marry each other. I like Mason. He’s perfect for you. Don’t you ever think about having a relationship? This is frustrating to a matchmaker.
I always skipped your travel videos, bc not interested. But now that I have nothing else to watch at La Lande, I am going back. And sort of enjoying it.

Next time you get bitten just have a hot bath it helps with the itch and will draw out any venom or stingers. Some times it takes a hot bath and other times it takes 2 baths. But the hot water does help.

If you can get it there, try Benadryl Cream on mosquito bites, and take Benadryl tablet. It will knock down allergic reactions quickly.
Have just found this vlog from months ago but was quite horrified by some of the comments and intrusive questions attached. Was so pleased Stephanie maintained a dignified silence and did not reply to them. Honestly people!!
Always wanted to travel to Portugal, but never made it there before the pandemic and now, who knows when it will be possible again. Thank you for showing us around all those amazing places and in such great company! ❤
