Since Chamber is a weapon designer and maybe a weapon dealer too, both world achieving their goal together in this project and save both worlds would mean peace between two worlds, and Chamber's weapon would not be need anymore. So Chamber destroyed everything here so that both world would still be in a conflict and in need of weapons. Increase in weapon need would mean fatter Chamber's wallet.

It would make sense that both weapons designers in both worlds would want conflict to keep going since they would lose business

I think destroying Fracture meant Chamber's operations of radianite mining and transportation stays successful. It does say this lab held tech years ahead of its time on radianite, meaning it should be nearly on the completion of unlimited potential of radianite. It couldve stopped the crisis and ended Chamber's operation. He has his own motives about control and it is understandable for his amount of wealth. He might be also going further into Radiant support tech, the way he tinkers with Astra's gauntlet meant he wants people to experience radiant powers without being one (albeit his weapon summoning skills and teleportation).
