  1. I often see reference that canada requires you to have a tax residence to become a non-tax resident but I see no reference to this in the legal requirements for non residency, can anyone back this statement up?

  2. Does the USA taxman still follow you around even if you where only ever born in the USA and have never worked/lived there? aka I have lived in NZ from age two and if I move, to say Georgia, and only pay 1% tax there will the USA taxman somehow try to come after me? I currently only travel on a NZ passport but could apply for a USA one, not that I'd want to.

  3. People think: "Ah, just Spain". No, they know what they're doing when it comes to collecting money.

Yes, they totally know what they're doing! A common figure in Spain is what they call "cobrador del frac", who is a frock-coated debt collector who will chase debtors in public until they pay!

  4. 1- So basically just dont go back to the former country and cut all physical ties to the place and remain in the new place for good?
2- If you are operating in crypto de-fi than your still not effected..

  5. This depends on which country you are dealing with.

In Germany for example, to pay taxes one must have a Tax ID and you cannot have an ID without a current physical address in the country. Even if you tried to pay taxes after leaving, it is most likely that they will just send the amount back to you.

The key is to deregister before leaving. Simply walk into the local municipal office and have them update your residence card before moving out with a statement that you no longer have a physical address there.

After this you will never have to pay taxes no matter where in the world you go or how much time you spend there. I believe this applies to other EU states as well.

So your advice caters mostly to those who want to leave their home country while still retaining their home residence ID along with their passport. If they were to terminate their ID, they would have no obligations to pay any taxes.

  6. What if you (1) leave your home country (sell your home etc.), (2) travel around for eg. 4 years (less than 180 days/year in any place) and then (3) immigrate to and settle down in a non-home country – would that "new home country" have any "right" to require payment of "back taxes" to either itself or one's original home country?

  7. Given the circumstances 🇺🇦💥🇷🇺, you should discuss the risk of conscription (getting drafted in wartime) or any other military obligations for expats & dual citizens. Many countries have rules on the back burner while others actually require all male citizens to complete basic military training and remain on call for a set period of time. The best example of what's going on right now is Ukraine is forbidding men aged 18-60 from leaving the country.

  8. William Mount YouTube on Ukraine. He says that we are only getting one side of the story. INFORMATION CONTROL CENSORSHIP IN USA. William Mount said the reason Putin moved into UKRAINE and its information from MI 6 there was a nuclear explosion in Eastern Ukraine allegedly by the CIA causing people to flee to Russia with radiation injuries.
