The reality about Indian people living in Malta

This is the reality about Indian people living in Malta. Many people from India want to move to Malta for a better life, they are looking for job opportunities in Malta but they are faced with a lot of problems. Getting work permit for Indian in Malta is not easy, many people fall for the scam to pay a lot of money to agents in Dubai just to get visa to come to Malta. Once they are in Malta they are faced with low wages and difficulties to find accommodation in Malta. It is not easy for Indians to find an apartment in Malta because landlords do not want to rent to Indians. And this is the sad reality that needs to be addressed !

  1. This is true, they do like that, they get an apartment, put hundreds of beds in the apartment and start selling bedspace. Second reason; they don’t care about cleaning, spread spices and coconut oil everywhere.

  2. Xenophobia and racism in Malta is sometimes ridiculous. A few weeks ago, a guy in a FCKN FISH SHOP told me, “that Gozo is better than Malta becouse there is less of black
people there”… I was shocked! Not to mention he also scammed me @price…

I am now at the process of visiting the officials a lot, as me and my wife have moved to Malta recently, and to be fair – when I see how the people from outside EU are treated, I loose the guts to look them in the eyes.

We’ve met a Philippino driver, who is driving with us quite frequently. It’s a man at the age of my father, who lives in some place like you described. He works for over 300 hours a month. He had to wait for so long to get his biometrics etc! When he asked of how much we pay for our place we couldn’t say the truth, idk what would he think of us…

We are still in love with this country, but god, there is so much to improve in terms of equality and some peoples mindset! And believe me we will advertise it as often as we will be able to. Anywhere we go. Malta deserves to be much happier place for everyone

  3. NOT TRYING TO CONDONE THE PRACTICE OR WHAT'S HAPPENING IN LITTLE MALTA,, BUT ILLEGAL "FOREIGN WORKERS' EXPLOITATION" GOES ON IN A LOT OF "RICH DEVELOPED COUNTRIES" AS WELL. "ABC AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺" just published a survey /article about this very topic. It's available on YouTube 📺 under heading :"MORE THAN HALF OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE JOB ADS ARE OFFERING ILLEGALLY LOW WAGES" (4/12/22). Moreover, there's the exploitation of workers from the "South Islands", again, by Australian employers 🇦🇺. What about Qatar 🇶🇦?. SADLY, The list goes on and on ….. 📝.
    FOLKS, LET'S ALL FIGHT FOR A FAIRER WORLD 🌏 ⚖. 🙏.
    Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

  4. Im Maltese and what you are saying is very true, many immigrants end up as modern day slaves, Malta is in a bad situation both for immigrants and for locals as the country is overpopulated, only a few business owners and landlords are getting richer on their backs

  5. In Malta unless you are in job that needs a lot of qualifiications you will always be broke. I am maltese and only make a 1000euros a month which considering the cost of living here is nothing. Also there is a lot of abuse of lower paid workers as the institutions and the law is so weak in Malta due to corruption
