Marinha beach on the Algarve Coast near Lagoa and Carvoeiro is certainly one of Portugal’s most picturesque and beautiful beach experiences. Not far at all from the famous Benagil Beach Cave, Marinha is a splendid sight in itself.

Tucked into the base of a coastal cliff, the sandy beach is broken up into sections and stretches quite a ways down the coastline before giving way to rocky coves which can be hiked to approach the Marinha arches.

In this adventure, we arrive at the beach, find our spot on the sand and quickly hit the water for some rock climbing, cliff exploring, lots of swimming and some chilling in order to take in some amazingly fabulous (yes, I can plug a few adjectives together) views.

It’s tough not to consider Marinha one of my favorite beach spots in the Algarve and you’ll see why during the video. To top off the adventure, there’s nothing like a cold beer, too. And luckily enough there is a beach bar on the way out.
