  1. you work very hard for what you have. Me as a subscriber I very much enjoy watching your unboxings it's shows me and young girls if you work hard as an independent women that you can get what you want on your own, and it's very inspiring. You go girl I like their handbag @bagxgo.com

  2. Loved this video! We are fortunate in our part of Northern California Bay Area to have many charity/ non-profit second hand shops. Your videos are so inspiring in encouraging us to reuse while supporting local organizations! My faves from your purchases: the white & black sweater blazer and the structured purse!

  3. Can bloggers post more videos? I really like bags! ! ! Love, love this video! ! ! I like all kinds of bags, you gave all kinds of them! ! I like all bags-but I like your new bag and LV bag bagxgo.com because of its versatility! ! I am a bag girl, so I like this video! !

  4. Great video! I often end up buying something from thrift shops because I love the fabric or design, I should definitely pay more attention to fit! Also, I’m very curious to know how you attach a strap to the top handle purse. 🤔 Keep us posted.

  5. I just love your videos! I've been to Spain but never Portugal and would love to go sometime. Could you please tell us the brand of the purse you purchased? Thank you 💕

  6. Thank you. My husband and I are sure to early retire in Lagos and explore all of Portugal so I’m happy these thrift shops have great finds and help the animals. Love the Chanel-like cropped light cardigan!

  7. Hi Alyssa, I am so glad that I watched this video for a couple of reasons! First of all, I am planning a trip to Portugal in early September and have booked a few nights in Lagos. It is so good to hear that you enjoyed your visit there! I am also impressed with what you found at Urban Jungle in Lagos. The white cardigan/blazer is perfect! It will work for the transitional season and is a classic that you will be wearing for years! Lucky you! I plan to look up the store while I am there.

  8. We have been twice to Lagos and loved it. Loved the Old town and as you said the beaches are amazing. Definitely go on a boat trip into the caves, so worth it! Loved the white cropped cardigan.

  9. 💟 Yes, I really enjoyed your thrift adventure in Portugal! You really have such great restraint which is admirable. I used to be a huge impulsive shopper but reined that in thank goodness! Looking forward to more of the same from you! Thanks so much Alyssa! 💟💜💟

  10. Excellent video!!! I love seeing how you rationalize your purchase and how meticulous you are when choosing what to take with you. To continue learning with you and have a good week. Saludos desde Argentina

  11. This was such a great video. One of my favorite things to do when I'm visiting another state (I'm from the US) or country, is go thrifting. I love seeing what other people donate, and you're guaranteed that no one else will be wearing the same thing as you. I really admire your self-control in not purchasing everything you saw that was cute. I can't say that I would have been the same. I so appreciate your dedication to sustainability with clothing and control in consumption, and I do actually find myself thinking about you when I'm in a thrift store and following your principles when purchasing things. Thanks for your consistency with videos every week. I so look forward to them. Have a great week.

  12. I LOVED this video – please do more like this! I really liked seeing you try on items in the shop, even if you didn’t eventually buy them. Would you consider also showing items that are interesting in the shops, on the hanger, even if you didn’t try them on or purchase them,to give us a taste of everything that was available? I am amazed at the prices in these shops, I have nothing like that near me!

  13. So much fun! Suiting that looks like a jacket but feels like a light knit is one of the great life hacks. Much more comfortable and washable. So comfy in fact that you can do that perfect chic slouching in it!

  14. I love this video! It's so fun to shop with you in a country very different than I live in (Canada). I also love the fact that many of these shops support animal welfare groups! That's my jam!! Do you speak Portuguese or do you find that your command of the Italian language is in any way applicable, while you are in Portugal?

  15. Great video Alyssa. I LOVE THAT CHANEL STYLE cardigan/ jacket.
So versatile and suits you to a T.
Love those little vintage shops where I'm sure the quality is good.
My favorite Potuguese pastries are Nata or Puding with a café galão.
