The year 2022 has been pretty disruptive so far. Lots of things were happening globally, and many people are concerned.

Following the conflict in Ukraine and the blacklisting of Russia, worries regarding food shortages arise. The supply chain has already been disrupted, and the prices of goods have already gone up.

Russia and Ukraine provide about 25% of the world’s wheat and quite a lot of the world’s fertilizer. This can lead to massive disruption in the rest of the world, as now other countries are unable to import goods from Russia and Ukraine.

Therefore we’ve decided to talk about countries which will be least affected by this.
If food shortages are your concern here are some countries you may want to consider for the second residency.

Countries that are most food self-sufficient:

1 Argentina 273
2 Uruguay 232
3 Australia 207
4 Ukraine 193
5 New Zealand 185
6 Canada 183
7 Bulgaria 171
8 Hungary 162
9 Lithuania 149
10 Malaysia 145

  1. I think we should also consider state capacity/competence, and governance. There are many cases of a country having ample supplies of a good/commodity but utterly failed to deliver this good economically. Some examples are meat shortages in Argentina, fuel shortages in Venezuela, sugar shortages in Cuba, and all sorts of shortages in India & Mexico. On the other hand, countries like UAE, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore don't have much domestic production but are very effective at ensuring supplies are available through direct government action or by enabling the private sector.

  2. NZ is good for a holiday but I woulnt recommend living here unless you dont mind paying extreme prices for everything and you dont mind marxist socialist govts taking away your freedoms.

  3. It's not only quantity but also quality. What you want is organic farms that work the old-fashioned way with free animals fertilizing the soil while eating grass. Why? Because industrial farming produces poison. To avoid the metabolic syndrome, diabetes, autoimmune disorders etc you need high-quality beef, eggs, fatty fish, butter, cheese and salt. Avoid at all cost sugar, whole grains, carbs, veggies and processed food. For that, the Med countries including France would be my choice.

  4. I'm literally going through the process of getting my residency in Argentina.

Argentina is amazing. The people here (provided you speak Spanish) are amazing and easy going. It's still beauracratic like all of Latin America but it's nice.

If you need an employee in Argentina, I do nothing but drink wine with friends so I could use something to do 😅

Minus useless bank tellers and useless government employees, this country is totally addicting.

I really miss China tho. My heart was broken post COVID with all the crazy policies.

  5. The countries on that list are undoubtedly self sufficient regarding food. But my motherland, Denmark, should be on the list too, as it is an old farmland. If there is going to be food shortages, production can be ramped up quickly. Anyway, the real danger worldwide is the lack of fertilisers from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. China will be hard hit by this, and so will Brazil, Sri Lanka, Africa south of Sahara.

  6. Not quite..the Australian crop is flooded this year and everything is heavily sprayed with the nastiest chemicals banned elsewhere. Plus, nothing grows without fertilisers and bug / pest sprays and they import 95% of they fertilisers from overseas countries that they keep bashing verbally. Just in theory is on this list because they are so good at marketing

  7. Australia has manufactured food shortages already and after the election on May 21st if one of the major parties get majority of power it will only ramp up, as both major parties are NWO shills.

  8. Excellent timing on this content…Thank you. Qualify of life and freedom ends when people don't have water and or food. In process getting residency in Paraguay for a business project. One box checked.

  9. Michael, how worried about global food shortages are you? I’m seeing varying degrees of panic online. Hard to assess accurately. Also do you think food supply chain issues will become a detriment to further globalization?

  10. Hello, I have listened to a lot of your videos and wanted to schedule a meeting. However, I do not need a 30 minute conversation. I imagine it can be answered in 2-5 minutes. We are looking to buy Canadian companies (we are US citizens and have a Canadian citizen on our team) in the near future. Therefore, does it make a difference whether or not we make a Canadian corporation through a Canadian citizen or as an US citizen?
I was not able to send a message through your site.

Edit: I fixed the issue and submitted my request through your site.

  11. It's crazy how the world has changed in a short 1.5-2 years. In 2019 nobody cared about the price of crude or nat gas, let alone food. Goes to show how fragile our high standard of life is, and how utterly incompetent our leadership is
