It’s a lovely thought but there’s a lot of T/F bull around at the moment, with agents talking up interest in players ahead of post World Cup moves.

Villa is currently a prime candidate to be used by agents to provoke Champions League clubs into taking action without the players ever really being interested us. I’m highly sceptical of any links at the moment but really hope I’m proved wrong. 😕

I think most likely there’s something in it based on the quality of the source & the ambition of our club now., we all want us fighting at the top of the league/playing in Europe etc. but if we’re honest he’s likely gonna cost an absolute arm and a leg. We’ve got incredible owners but there are at least 4/5 teams wealthier & a decent few he’d rather play for at the minute. He’ll want instant success. I think someone like Thuram is far more realistic and still would be a fantastic signing.. still you can’t help but get excited seeing us linked to someone like Felix. We’re on the up either way UTV

Exciting rumour. Whilst he is a great talent, I cannot help but feel he is not prolific enough to be our main man up top. Aside from CR7, Portugal doesn’t produce that many prolific strikers. 8 goals last season in a slower league than the prem says he would be better suited as a number 10/wide forward. I would love the idea of signing him to compliment Bailey on the other side whilst we still have an alternative option to Ings up top. I think Thuram is the beast we need to sign up top with Jao Felix to add that flare. Great transfer hub episode. UTV!
