After a 3-week trip to Portugal together we found ourselves with the #travelbug ! Soon after returning home, we started researching ways we could travel the world on a budget. A few short years later, we quit our jobs and now #traveltheworld full-time. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences as a #travelcouple in hopes of inspiring others to do the same and follow their dream.

Such a cute video. I love that you gave travel tips along the way. Question: what airline did you fly on each leg? We sometimes choose flights based on the airline. We like some budget airlines (Vueling, EasyJet 👍🏼) but not all of them.
There's a train station just as you exit the airport and the ticket to the main station in Bucharest is $1.
Looked a bit tiring… but you're retired and have all the time in the world now! I loved when Brian said 'when you're finally there, get a bevy and take a deep breath!' EXCELLENT advice! 🙂 Miss you guys XOXO
When you were at the Bucharest airport, were you using airport wifi to use the Uber app, or did you get a SIM for Romania 🇷🇴? Thanks
Nice video! Do you guys have a rough itinerary of Romania? Do you guys move every 3 nights? Cheers
We will be passing through Bucharest sooooon! WOOT WOOT
How old are you both my husband is 65 and I am 62,we are thinking of doing the same thing.
I have just dropped on your channel and have enjoyed your video.😀
You mentioned in this video TSA bag for carry on, is there a particular one that you were talking about?
I will watch your video later as I'm catching a bus for my next destination myself. I would like to know if you guys booked accommodation for your 2 months in Romania since it's summer time?
Sorry about those delays … “sanctions”, anyone ?!
So … you’re in Romania right now and you probably got the first taste of freedom … maybe you don’t even remember where you put your masks … don’t worry, you’re in a “mask-free” country, the only one that canceled the “green passport” (or whatever it is called) atrocity. Those you’ll see wearing a mask, are either obsessed or they’re devils (we still have a few of those, unfortunately … but not for long). Since you’re here, I suggest you try Brasov region in Transilvania.
WELCOME and have a wonderful time !!!
Come to Moldova as well!
Appreciate the videos and the comments. Cheers! 🍻
Welcome to 🇷🇴! Hope you have a good stay here, you definitely need to check out the communist buildings and old architecture, especially if you're down in Bucharest (I recently did a video on the communist symbols and the murals in the city). Stay safe
Took us 40 hours to get back to the US from Athens last week. Air Canada was a mess!! Lucy and I are like you guys. We like to show up extra early, bring snacks, and enjoy having a cocktail along the way when we hit the delays.
Wow 20 hours to get to your next destination! Usually Takes us around 24 hours from Sydney Australia to get to Europe which is sooooo painful, so I feel for you guys taking 20 hours for a relatively short distance 😩
Dont forget that each country also may have an Uber like service – You might have never heard of it – before getting on the plane with fellow travelers ask them. Many times/countries there has been no Uber and the others are always cheaper than Uber – Do you know about Bolt – Beat – Cabify – Didi – Şirnea and many others all over the world.
Hi guys.looking forward to the new videos.. have fun.
looking forward to your posts on Romania. Your posts are so helpful, very informative.
Will you visit KAOS Headquarters? I spent six months in Cluj during sabbatical in 2015. You will enjoy it. Also check out Sibiu and Brasov if you get a chance. Safe travels!
She is the BOSS. Boom! I like the last tip…get a drink
I love your videos. I’m 2 years from retirement. A year or more of travel seems very doable now. I never thought of Airbnb for a month at a time being so cheap. Just sell it all and be a vacation nomad. Doesn’t sound too bad…
Seems like flight delay it’s a common theme in south European countries. Years ago, I got that for a first flight in a nice summer morning from Seville to Madrid. It was delayed for more than two hours with no good reason, just that the airport staffs really took their time to get to work. So I missed my Madrid-LAX flight and had to rebook from Madrid-NY-LAX, and the Madrid-NY flight was again delayed so the LAX flight had to rebook a second time.
You will apreciate a lot Bucharest , amazing city.
How much did it cost for air tickets from Lagos to Romania?
Wow, long day! Out of Schengen for 3 months? Two in Romania and then? I like your good spirits – traveling these days is not that organized and predictable as it used to be. Have a great time!
As a New Yorker, I thought I was the only 'crazy or wise' one to be seated at my gate 3-4 hours early, but I found in my business travels across Europe that this habit reduces stress tremendously, and provides plenty of time for prayer, reading, and simple meditative quietude. Also, your tip on snacks (and staying properly hydrated) is exceedingly important. Lastly, when traveling from the US to Europe, my wife and I ship between 7-10 book boxes of clothes, books, and other important items to a FEDEX hub near our final destination; this frees us up, so we can travel with just the carry-on luggage, containing our computer and camera equipment. Also, we've really embraced the concept of 'slow travel' and 'off-peak' travel, avoiding (at all costs) the crazy crush of travelers during peak travel holidays. I'm looking forward to your travels in Eastern Europe, an often overlooked area for retirement–but quite affordable and laden with cultural amenities. Enjoy, and thank you for your lucid commentaries on your travels, most illuminating! Back to Italy soon for us!

Glad you made it safely to Romania! I've been watching videos all morning about the Schengen Area and trying to think about how extended travel throughout Europe will work. I was trying to remember which Schengen calculator you use. Keeping track of time in the Schengen Area will definitely dictate some travel decisions, and I'm assuming that's why you're staying two months in Romania – besides it being a beautiful country. I've got a lot to figure out in the next 14 months. 😅 Cheers! 🍻
Have a Good stay in Romania. Looks like you guys went thru Frankfurt looking at the Gate signs. Did you say that you had just cabin checked bags only and no bigger bag at all. That's quite an accomplishment considering the long stay. Have a safe stay in Romania and cant wait to see the next Saturday's "Brian & Carrie Good Morning Romania Show". You guys are awesome couple, made for each other, and do excellent planning, and Execution. Hats off to you. Cheers!!!
We are so excited to have made it to Bucharest, Romania. We will be in Romania for the next two months exploring as much as we can of this beautiful country! Let us know in the comments below if there are places you'd love to see or any areas you've been that we shouldn't miss. Thanks for watching!
Another great video guys.
Getting ready for my scouting trip to Spain in September.
Just wondering what airline you were flying to Romania
LOL. We’ve done the same thing – ignore the “bagger” and just go on. Survival Mode 🙂
Oh my, so tiring, but it's worth it I'm sure! Do you have any plans to visit Brasov while there? It's about 2.5hrs north of Bucharest by car. Looks like it would make an amazing road trip! If you're not familiar & get some down-time, Google, or YouTube it, the terrain & scenery looks like a picture perfect postcard…so charming! Living vicariously through you two, until our time comes! Enjoy!
Cluj Is a must. You won’t regret it.
You have to come to Cluj
