Turning our Sprinter into an Off-Grid Tiny Home | Luton Van Build EP4

We’re Kieran and Alice, a young travel couple and for the last 2 years we’ve been exploring Europe with our dogs Freddie and Sookie in our converted Sprinter Van. We were FED UP of the 9-5 and limited travel, so we quit our jobs, switched to full-time van life and haven’t looked back. We upload new videos every Sunday, so make sure to subscribe to never miss out!

We started travelling in our van during the pandemic, and have since explored France, Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Croatia and quite a few more countries.

We’re currently building our next home on wheels in an ex-removals Luton Van, and are documenting the whole renovation every week here on YouTube, so make sure you’re subscribed to never miss an update.

We’re also posting daily van build updates over on our instagram @kieran.and.alice

  1. Really love watching you both do this build you are do a fantastic job and making it look easy which it is not . Well done looking forward to the next one .

  2. Disappointed Kiran didn't explain the electrical system for a minute of two. And when a machine cuts depending on the blade direction: jigsaw blades are usually teeth upwards, you face the good side of surface downwards & also use painters tape. And with circular saw again the blade cuts spinning upwards so nice material facing downwards. Thumbs up

  3. Great video again this week. I was inspired by Alex Frood's (Mispronounced Adventures) 2 videos about direct cooling of the Victron Orion, an upgrade I have done in my van this week. Well worth a watch, especially as he gets a 30% efficiency improvement. The other recommendation is to mount the Orion and MPPT on a non combustible surface – a sheet of metal is fine.

  4. Fantastic video. I normally praise how real you guys are, which is refreshing every time. But I did enjoy the “fancy” cuts and the soundtrack, also how the soundtrack matched the timelapses. Await your videos every week:)

  5. Fantastic again. You are Both So talented & Incredibly hard working. Looking So good all the work done here. Youre So inspiring & I love the colour youre painting the walls fresh & warm. Your count îs very good & youre keeping track of it ….. very important 💉🩸
Have a lovely week & Look forward to NexT video 👋🏻💗💙👋🏻🚛

  6. Hi – could you share a link to the kitchen hob you've bought as I like the design of it and fancy it for our van. Also if you could share a link to the shower waste connector that you showed in last weeks video that'd be great! Van is looking fab btw.

  7. 4.3 is too low for your glucose level mate, it has to be over 5.5 for you too legally drive. You should also notify DVLA about your Diabetes who will give you a 3 year license. Don't forget your insurance company as well. It should not make any difference in price, if DVLA send you a questionnaire it will ask if you have any hypo's in the day I would answer no .

  8. It’s become ours and our 3 kids ritual to sit down on a Sunday morning to follow your journey, particularly on rainy Sundays when we are camping around Ireland! Great content, you guys are really likeable, love your outlook on life! Keep up the good work.

  9. Amazed at how quickly you guys are moving with the fit out!…..and a bit jealous …. intrigued by the sink though – do you have a link for it?

  10. There is just such a crazy amount of space in a Luton isn't there!! Feels like you are in a two story loft apartment inside haha!! When we first built our van we felt so overwhelmed by the electrics, you learn a lot during a van build don't you. Reckon and second van build would feel so much easier now lol. Sending yas lots of love and luck on your build 💓💪

  11. Ahh, the point where all the changes appear minimal, but the end effect is massive! I'm with Kieran, that sink is awesome!!! Would def want that in our van! Have a great week you two, and make sure you drink LOADS, Kieran, this week's heat will take it out of you! Stay safe xx 💛

  12. I did say I don't like the use of cladding however this isn't as bad as some I have seen.
Get some thin pliable plastic to use round the inside of your windows to hide the gap. The electrics are good, as you have used top quality components. Looking good.
The size of inverter will allow the use of a 240v fridge, a big saving over a 12v one.

  13. LP reacted d ryt way, she is Kayantanii.UNO need of over drama, or over consider ations. She don't deserve *considerationsd. Lp പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ,, ജീവിതം തുടങ്ങിയല്ലേ ഉള്ളു, പഠിക്കട്ടെ.

  14. When you bought the Luton I thought you were mad. I get it now. So much more room. Vertical, square walls that are easy to insulate and build against against. Seriously thinking of one for our next van conversion. You will soon be done and travelling again. Keep the videos coming.
