Venomous blue dragons washing on shore along Texas beaches

The unusual-looking creatures can be identified by wing-like fins and bizarre blue markings. Venomous sea slugs have recently been spotted along beaches on North Padre and Mustang Islands.

  1. Interestingly, it's not venomous by itself, it's from it's diet of venomous Portuguese man o' war (Physalia physalis). The sea slug consumes chunks of the man o' war and appears to select and store the most venomous nematocysts for its own use against future prey.

    Damn Nature, you scary

  2. I seen this slugs, I attempted to take care of this but I remember they eat Portuguese man of War which I wouldn't touch it or no way of obtaining it so I just freed them. Plus it's better to set free animals or appreciate their beauty on their natural habitat.

  3. I have seen one and his name is Dvalin….anemo archon's pet (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Alr joke aside i had never saw them irl and first time i saw is from a video my friend send me

  4. How gorgeous. "They feed on Portugese Man Of War jellyfish". No wonder they are poisonous, PMOW are extremely venomous, their nematocysts fire like little arrows and deliver a large amount of toxin under the skin. In rare cases they can cause heart failure but always leave big red and extremely painful welts that can take weeks to heal and often leave scars. With such a delicious meal to feed on the dragons must have massive amounts of the toxins in them and on their outsides so it makes sense that they would be dangerous. They must be pretty much impervious to any predators. They are absolutely beautiful though and no one would think twice about picking one up to get a better look.
