It seems like every city that you visit in Vietnam was a battlefield 60 years ago. I can't help but think that cities in the Ukraine (like those in the former Yugoslavia did) will someday return to a form of normalcy with the memories of war long forgotten. It's amazing how mankind can be resilient and flourish in the absence of those committed to conquering one another.
