The Portuguese real estate market has shown resilience despite the global pandemic, fundamentally underpinned by a housing supply/demand imbalance and the Golden Visa residency-by-investment programme.

Over €146 million was raised through this residency-by-investment programme in May 2020, almost triple (192%) compared to the same month of 2019. Portugal has essentially become an undeniable world destination for property investment compared to some of its neighbouring countries.
