WEEKLY VLOG 11 – EXPLORING UNKNOWN TERRITORIES.. | Living in Central Portugal

We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. In the weekends you will get different videos then during week days. Today is a weekend day 🙂 and you see me putting up with Zoey trying to escape again.. They do get a big bone though 🙂 I am going on a shopping spree to buy some more materials AND TOOLS :). I also have a dog walk for you, a special one, from a dogs eyed view 🙂 Enjoy!

Tuned in on week days for more building related content. And why not hit the notification bell so you don’t miss it 😉 thanks for watching!

My name is Jasper and i bought a house in a Portuguese ghost town. Together with my dogs Zoey & Akira we show you the rebuild of our house and what it is like living the daily life in Central Portugal.

  1. Hope that your back feels better soon, Jasper!
Do other people live in the village or is it totally deserted?
Happy Christmas to you and the girls, Laura 🎄🎄🎄🐶🐶

  2. My lower back requires I keep moving or it protests loudly. Unfortunately I like to sit and paint. Everything in moderation!!
    ❄️ We've gotten 12 inches of snow , last 2 days, Michigan. ❄️

  3. On dirait que tu as compris la vie. Aurais-tu un problème de santé personnel?.. Et ne t'avise pas de critiquer les portugais… ils te renverront chez toi sans que tu n' y comprennes rien…😅🤣🤣🤣🤣

  4. Why not fix that pole to the back of the shed? Keeps it in front of the trees, well supported semi out of sight but freeish line of sight to other land.
Taking down trees on a slope like that results in landslides from the next deluge (and there will be more of those).

  5. That was a fun adventure. You know some terrace steps and a little spot for some chairs and a fire pit would be terrific for evening parties. Maybe benches and a deck of sorts? You know anyone who likes stargazing? Maybe a spot for hobby telescope to check out the sky or nearby towns lol. Hope you get well soon. Are you going to do the Christmas gift opening with antlers like you did last year?

  6. Sorry about your back, Jasper. I think those strenuous body-punishing exercises at the gym may have something to do with that (as well as long bouts of inactivity). Doing Yoga regularly will make you feel better, I'm sure. Zoe has such expressive soul-searching eyes, whereas all Akira wants to do is play, play, play. They're both beautiful. It looks like you're spreading your roots in Ghost Town.

  7. Hazel ☘️ …
Congratulations on new and future land acquisitions … I know it will all come together in the long run 👌

I know the weather is not so inviting to motivate yoga
… try pick out a few essential stretches to do upon wakening … before and just as you get out of bed (yes even before, pee, coffee and smoke !)
… this you do everyday (short session of just one or two minutes)
… this keeps this old gal moving ! … Even when /if I miss a fuller Hazel’s Hoga session !

(Hazel’s Hoga = a personal pick of various moves, I’ve picked up over the years, from the plethora of exercise / yoga/ Thia Chi etc individually self designed to keep MY body as supple as possible … it works for me !)
    🙏☘️😘
