We're Buying a BUILDING in Portugal! | Why & How We Are Doing This?

Buying a building in Porto, Portugal and then renovating it?! Yup! That’s what we are trying to do. Hey everyone, it’s Josh and Kalie from ExpatsEverywhere and we are taking you on our vertical community venture. This series is going to be all about what it’s like looking for a property, how to go about renovating it, moving in, furnishing it, and more. Thankfully we aren’t doing this alone. We are working with Ana and her team from Savvy Cat Realty to assist us. We also aren’t just buying the whole building ourselves. There are a few other families who are in the same position as us and want to know what’s really behind the walls of their apartment before they make a purchase.

Join us on this real estate adventure from start to finish! Interested in working with Savvy Cat Realty? You can email us to make an introduction or tell her ExpatsEverywhere sent you. Need a mortgage? Send us an email at contact@expatseverywhere.com for more info!

  2. Loved hearing about your progress in this vertical community concept. Totally fascinated by it. We’ve recently been learning more about Ana and SC and she is so impressive.

  3. Congratulations!
I hope every investment you make in my beautiful country comes back to you 10 times fold!
I also hope you get as much support as you need in getting your dreams come true!

  4. If you happen to be a F1 fan beware of the following:
Formula 1 could be heading back to Portugal in 2022 to replace the now cancelled Russian GP. F1 organizers are reportedly considering a return to the Portimao circuit, to replace the now cancelled Russian GP in the 2022 calendar.

  5. I just moved to Porto and is still trying to find my feet, looks like there is some good opportunities. Im currently in France and will be back next week would be great to meet with you at some point to talk about these. Check out Espinho before you buy… as for international schools Clip sounds like a good option

  6. The real estate market is booming in Portugal no bubble happening , my older brother was just over last week from NY bought a apartment for his son's and im going to give him one of our other homes that he is going to rebuild into a modern place and my other sister also bought a house thats getting rebuilt and a apartment for her daughter portugal could easley double the population and have plenty of room for more people

  7. I like this video. Kalie and Josh share facts and they are thorough which very helpful because I am a slow learner. Does the estimated price per m2 base on the constructed or useable size? Thank you for all that you do.

  8. I remember your Feb 5, 2022 vid "Buying a Home – LEARN How to Get a Mortgage in Portugal (The 60 Second Challenge) "😅 Parabéns! 🙂

  9. Oh I love when you share facts concerning cost and monetary related issues. Especially when it confirms the research we've been doing ourselves. For our properties we paid 1046 per square metre for the villa (which included an absolutely stunning landscaped yard with pool) and 1700 per square meter for the house by the castle. It's brand new and the yard still needs to be landscaped. This is of course in Obidos…much more suited for retirement or vacation home.. Our Porto research was definitely 2000 to 3000 per sq. meter. Plus we were just discussing if Portugal had a season for real estate like in Canada…good to know it does. Thank you and good luck with your search.

  10. Good to see you both are expanding on your investment footprint in Portugal. Wish you both good luck and very excited to follow your steps along in this Journey…
I was thinking to come over to Porto in August to meet you in person as I am planning to go same path soon enough when I get my residency card this year
