What Can I Buy for 1 Euro in Portugal// Grocery Haul// Continente Grocery Store

Happy Sunday everyone!

Did you know that today is Mother’s Day in Portugal aka Dia da Mae. My kids surprised me with handmade gifts that they made in school. Afterwards, I got to spend the day gardening which is something I love to do. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing day.

Anyway, I was chatting with a friend the other day about the rising food cost in America. Things that we used to buy pre-Covid is now double if not triple the price. Sometimes it’s even more than triple the price and that’s even if you are able to find the item! So, my friend and I were comparing food costs and I was shocked to see the difference in prices.

So I wanted to create a video to show you what you can buy for 1 euro. Disclaimer! Continente was having a sale so a lot of these items were on promotion, but regardless, there were plenty that were still under a euro and not on sale.

If you enjoy this type of cost related videos, please let me know. I always find these type of videos interesting 🙂

I will also be filming an update on our current monthly spending. Be sure to subscribe and click on the notification bell to stay up to date!

See you in the next video 📹

  1. Why are the Doritos more expensive here? 🤷🏽‍♀️ The only thing that was the same price was the cilantro. The Korean market has it for exactly .79, but since I’m bougie, I mostly get the organic one at Whole Foods for $1.99 (it’s mud free!). 🤦🏽‍♀️

  3. Hi Josie, I loved your video, I hope you already have the supermarket card because it only brings you advantages. When you buy products from the market network, he gives you discounts and you can even accumulate money for new purchases, I forgot, you also have some discount at participating gas stations for your car. Happy day, Beautiful Family…💕

  4. Thanks Josie… Once again, good video… Helps me put into perspective the grocery bill for a family of 5…
Now that you have settled into your new home, is your grocery bill still the same as the last video you did a while back…

  5. I also love shopping at Continente but can't go often enough 😓 as it is abit out of the way. We do have a Lidl close to us. But definitely prefer Continente.

Thanks for these videos, I quite enjoy them and also very informative 🤗🤗🙏🙏
