  1. Utds press was poor with Ronaldo. You are a much better TEAM without him. Villa played the ball around at the back a lot more than we usually do. Utds forward and midfield would push up well into the Villa half while your defence was still 5 yards inside their own half. Then with one pass we'd by-pass your forwards and midfield (half your team) into our forwards or our wide players who would come inside and pick it up in front of your defence, turn and attack the space with our forwards making runs to drag your defence out of position. Utd did look tired though from all their recent matches. Thursday will be interesting! Up the Villa!

  2. DVB played some good ball, and kept possession, he was decent and he's going to play more. And Manchester United outplayed Villa, they just didn't score and didn't get back on defense.

  3. lack of confidence and intensity, thats it. when villa scored first goal, i just stopped watching cause i knew the first half at least will be bad, and when second half started and we conceded goal again, ok i stop watching 😂

  4. Garnacho – unproven with reported attitude problem
    Ronaldo – finished
Rashford – most overhyped player in the world
    VDB – not good enough
Eriksen – decent squad player with severe health issues
Dalot – improved but hardly world class
    Lindelof – useless
Casemiro – not even a steady eddie at Utd
Martinez – has shipped 13 goals to City, Brentford and Villa
De Gea – world class but struggling to adapt to modern football
Martial – not good enough and injured whenever he gets going
Elanga – fit man but not Utd quality footballer
Mct – good ethics but not enough quality
Shaw – sometimes playes well when he hasn't been to Mcd's

10Hag expected to work miracles with a bunch of lemons

  5. I think the main issue is squad depth. Like you mention, who do we bring on for Eriksen? Antony and Sancho injured so we have no quality players who can play on the right. We have two 30 year olds in midfield. Bruno's athleticism allows him to cover a lot of space, track back, press and cover for the midfield. Donny doesnt have that same athleticism (not a criticism, just the way he is). Next prem game, Dalot is suspended, whos going to play RB?

My concern is, will Man Utd ever sort this squad depth issue? This requires good recruitment as well as spending the money.

  6. At this point I think Fred would be better at the 10 than Donny. At least you will have someone who would put pressure upfront on opposition half and drop in to help defensively even though he is not that good on the ball but intensity would be there.
