She loves digging, math, problem solving, crochet and drinking wine. And while our Portugal renovation project, vegetable gardening and life admin are very much a joint effort, sometimes it doesn’t appear that way on camera.
In this video we explain how we approach dividing up the workload and show you a bit more progress on our ground floor farm house conversion.
Well said
Loved the way you both answered the Questions. I get it from your perspective and because both of you have been together for so long you both sing from the same music sheet. It's just great the way you get on with your specific jobs. I am a woodworker but I also do welding and I also have a sewing machine I am a dab hand at using. Three different mediums I can work at and there are many more, like I said other people could have a different perspective at categorising types of work.
“You tell them love”…….i hope people know you are an Aussie Woman and will be quick to put people straight about how Aussie women think.
I think you two are a great pair who were just made for each other. I have to ask, when are we to see more work on the upstairs rooms.?
Love everything you are doing and can not get enough of your shows…..best wishes from Central Coast NSW Australia….Maryann
Hell yeah 🙌🙌🙌 little girls need to see women do hard things! I love it!
It doesn't matter who does what , or is seen doing what , all that matters is that your happy . You both seem to be very happy , your a great team and excellent entertainment xx ❤💯✅
This is the first video (and I have watched from the beginning) that made me "sad". You shouldn't have to explain or justify how or why you are sharing your workload. It is very obvious that you are a great team! Stay as you are – both of you! And continue doing what you so obviously enjoy. Onwards and upwards…. keep it up, certainly helps to keep me motivated.
its obvious that you cant just run to the local shop if you need something (materials, equipment, etc…). What type of planning goes into making sure you have enough of anything on hand in order to start/complete a project? Are local labor or tradespeople even an option?
So nice to see a positive example of a couple who treats each other as equals and values the skills, talents, and efforts of themselves and their partner. Thanks again for sharing.
i guess with renovation there's always a fair bit of ffs….
Swear equity is the best! Your progress is wonderful.
You are so right! Project base videos take a lot to edit, we, too have no choice but to film over a few days and wrap our heads around story building. Thanks for sharing the struggle, we have the same with the content we produce ♡ ♥💕❤😘
I'm curious about the Portuguese language learning podcast and wondered if you would share it here.
BTW, I think you both do amazing work….it's positively inspirational to me and I'm fascinated with your whole solar off grid set up. So freaking amazing. Oh and I could live in that fancy chicken coop, such excellent workmanship with attention to detail. I'm a fan.
Oh, come on Kylie. You can’t fool us, you really do love your digging 😂
Girl power Kylie💪🏻!!! I completely understand the division of labor when remodeling a home! Hubby has his specialty and I have mine! Enjoying the videos!
Awesome teamwork! 🌀💚🌀
Son admirables , su trabajo es impecable , saludos desde Costa Rica !
Ha,Ha, good on you Kylie,( as a single woman(Me) who attempts to do all for herslf ) you are lucky to have found a male who will share the chores and allows you the joy of working in an equal partnership. My 86 year old neighbour who was pampered all her life always says you need a man , my reply is always NO I don't. Cheers from a fellow Aussie . Lana
This makes total sense and I can understand your frustration. Social normals so deeply embedded in our environments can take a long time to change.
You two are delightful and a true example of marriage equality! Keep it up!!
You know what your doing 😂😂😂😂 same for us we need admin and manual labour and technical
💕💕💕
i totally appreciate your vids, keep doing you guys and thanks :-] also, what rock music in your ears do you listen to?
Kylie – likes digging.
Guy – 'i've got bigger muscles' likes digging his own holes!
Someone has to do the work and if you want it done do it yourself. It's not specific to any gender that I am aware of.
Lot of fun watching all the work you guys are doing. I am sure you will be proud of it all when you are finished!
definitely a goer!
Some of us girls don’t mind getting our hands dirty and also enjoy the physical work. It is nice to see you both work as a team and always laughing. Keep it up Guy, Kylie! Love watching the progress towards perfection!
maybe u do metal detection on the farm you don't know what you'll find
You are my kind of woman… the King that see that in the cople… 50% for both… and there are now gender work… 💪🏻👌🏻👏🏻💖
100% for your excelente thinking… 😉😁
Guy and Kylie, it’s so wonderful that you respect each other’s talents and skills and divvy up the chores according to that. It’s a bit insulting to see that there is value placed on the contributions each of you makes. Do the questions insinuate that man-ual labor is more valuable? Or that creativity is less valuable? Sounds a bit patriarchal to me. You two give me hope for more gender equity.
