Portugal is the BEST!! I've just got back from a brilliant holiday in northern Portugal: Porto, Douro valley, Geres. I've also been to Lisbon and the Azores (Sao Miguel, Faial and Pico).

As an Egyptian-American (born & raised in Louisville, KY USA) who has been to 36 countries so far…here are my votes:
1) Best Food Country – Japan
2) Best Nightlife – Seoul, South Korea
3) Best in Europe – Portugal (visited Lisbon/Madeira/Azores in 2019) due to the climate/geography, quality of life, nature, and culture.
4) Best Summer Destination – Vancouver (both the city and Vancouver Island). Visit it one summer and thank me later.
5) Honorable Mentions: Switzerland, Thailand, Italy, Prague, Turkey, Greece, California-Oregon-Washington Coast and Hawaii (it is more impressive than Madeira in many ways, but it is also more expensive and touristy).
P.S. I also enjoyed that infinity pool in Singapore (as I stayed at that casino resort for a business trip once)!
