  1. Did you add a cement waterproofer to the render such as Sika Cim or Optimix mortar plasticizer? We have a similar masonry water feature that was not rendered with waterproof additive and it leaks often 100 liters per day. The plants and fish will all have to come out so it can be properly coated inside.

  2. Really interested in this project.. need to do something similar in my house..

Will you be able to use the water at the end of the process of it just filters away into the ground?

    ☝️👍👍👍👍👍

  3. Jasper, please excuse my ignorance with the wetland, but I just don't get it. You have put so much time and effort into this middle section with the lintel, but I don't see or understand its purpose. Considering its designed for the water to flow under it, why does it even need to be there, let alone have a wall on top of it? Surely it would have made more sense to have a number of walls from the ground up at various heights. This would slow the flow and force the water to "cascade" from one to the other in a controlled manner. As it stands now, once the water passes over the first wall, it just creeps along the floor to the last one. Doesn't this make the middle section redundant? or am I just uneducated.

  4. Hiya Jasper and Co i
I suggested a few days back to buy and place some reed plants into the open sewer.
I suggest to do this now.
The reed plants would soak up the water and grow.
If you wanted you could after completing your construction possibly use them there if they had soaked up the water at the site of your old syptic run off.
    Think seriously about it.

Anyway still liking your content and your ability to change what you are doing.
Looking forward to your new way of content showing.
    Keep up the good work.
    It's very entertaining.
