Great that there is the cottage as that could provide an income, however for me, I don't like the garden at the front of the house. 🙂

Outta your price range, but having a 2nd small house in s quite a bonus.

You could live in the big house 8 months of the year, and rent it out during between June / September and live in the tiny one.
All depends on where's it located obviously. But you could 800/1000€ weekly during the holidays.
But you would need to build a swimming pool.

In theory you get 10/12000 for 4 months every year, but have to pay taxes on it.
