Hi there! I am Joseph.
I have been an immigrant / expat living in central Portugal along with my beautiful girlfriend Mariana for seven years now.

Together Mariana, my father Clinton and myself, would like to show you a bit of the daily goings on around our Portuguese farm / homestead / smallholding and all of the work we are doing whilst renovating, starting building projects, working with our livestock, DIY and trying to grow our little families own food!

See our journey to self-sufficiency / permaculture / organic farming living in Portugal, trying to produce as much of our own food planting vegetables, growing fruit trees as well as looking after all our animals, such as our chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, quail, rabbits and sheep – Shortly pigs too!

– Growing vegetables, raising meat and foraging on our cherry farm in Portugal’s Beira baixa, Fundão

  1. Thanks for these videos Joseph I'm interested in moving to Portugal next year with hopes to eventually relocate there. I have a growing passionfor Agricultural investment and rural development. I'll definitely be in contact soon

  2. Beautiful !!! I am really likeing Portugal and Normandy. Both have those nice thick walls and common areas on the ground level and sleeping areas on the 2nd floor. Love this one ! I'm sure who is there, hates to leave !

  3. Joseph, are the tractor, machinery and livestock included or would that be a separate purchase?
Portugal is a very traditional country… in some rural areas they were still building stone houses with tile roofs in the 1960's. When possible would you mention the age of houses? It, would be interesting to know esp with old water mills, ruin houses etc. Keep up the good work!

  4. That’s a serious farm! Judging by the comments, return on investment can be less than 10 years. If you eat meat, that’s the way you would like it to be raised.

  5. Hi Joseph and Mariana enjoyed the video very nice farm bit pricey, the main house I found to be very dark if it was me I would demolish the house and start again barn very useful the land ideal for more fruit trees.
