Zdob şi Zdub & Advahov Brothers – Trenuleţul – Moldova 🇲🇩 – Official Music Video – Eurovision 2022

@Zdob și Zdub will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song ‘Trenuleţul’.

Trenuleţul (English: ‘Train’) nods to the Ramone’s Blitzkrieg Bop with its infectious chorus of ‘Hey ho! Let’s go. Folklore and rock ‘n’ roll’, and showcases Zdob și Zdub’s love of traditional word-of-mouth storytelling.

It’s fair to assume that there won’t be many artists on stage in Turin in May who are likely to have had as much performing experience as the Moldavian musicians, and not just because Zdob și Zdub themselves have graced Eurovision with their presence twice before. The band have been around since 1994, and in those 28 years since, have honed their skills at playing to a crowd by going out on the road for a near constant stream of gigs, tours and festival appearances.

  1. How this song didn't win I do not know? Well I do know actually, because the contest is badly flawed. Such is life though. It was a marvellously happy, lively song, full of spirit. The video was great fun too. Thank you.

  2. This song reminds me of an amazing trip I had that was like some exchange student-like program, and hearing it kinda makes me sad. The reason I’m mentioning this on the internet is because I thought a thing that is nice think of with things like that, (not that uncommon phrase I think, but nice to be reminded of I think) “Don’t be sad that it’s over, be happy that it happened”

  3. Congratulations to the EU-membership! Sofia 🇧🇬 salutes you! ❤️
    P. S. Дано утре да падне и срамното вето за република Северна Македония!

  4. I just figured out who the violinist reminds me of xD
For those curious, he reminds me of Miguel Wiens, a pianist who mainly appears in a Dutch satirical news show called Even tot Hier but is originally from Belgium

  5. Ce nu au putut face cele doua guverne romanesti, fac ei prin aceasta melodie …. un mesaj de suflet, pentru doua inimii care bat ca una , asa e suntem romani cu totii! Felicitari!

  7. I’ve never watched Eurovision before, and I recently decided to give it a go. And I do not regret my decision. This is my absolute favourite song out of all of them!

  8. Maybe the reason why this entry did not do so well was because its topic was too specific. I for one think the question of reunification between Romania and Moldova is extremely interesting, but I doubt that all Europeans will feel the same way. Still very well done though, both in the video and the song! 🇲🇩🇷🇴

  9. Great song, touching message. I'm American but my girlfriend is from Bukovina in Romania, and I learned all about Steven the Great when I visited. I hope that Moldova and Romania become united by more than a train route sometime soon.
