Aye aye aye !!!
How wonderful! There is so much you can do with this house! Iam looking forward to seeing future episodes!
Did you already finish your house from #29?
Can’t wait to see what you guys do with this. Congratulations.
It’s seems that these homes In Portugal, at least many of them have common walls. Not many stands alone. That must present some issues when remodeling.
Got your work cut out for you there. Sorting out that roof! Isn’t that going to require a crane and subbing that out to a contractor? Looking forward to this adventure.
Honestly, gorgeous place.
So much potential, what would be a great thing to do is if someone has experience with 3D modeling and can make the whole project on 3D like in the British show grand design!
It would be lovely.
I think we’ve seen enough of James.
As the video progresses I’m saying out loud, no, no, you didn’t.
Lovely property, with a bit of imagination this can be turned into a fabulous property encouraging its original beauty. I have absolutely no idea of prices but may I suggest that instead of lifting the celing in the cellar, you lower the floor. It would be a pity to loose the arch. This is a personal note, but I do not mind at all the lower ceilings, I actually find it cozy and enveloping. Not all are tall. The patio upstairs is on the wrong side of the house, the view cannot be enjoyoed from there. It would be interesting in redesigning the fallen roof top and turn that into a patio. Since the center of the house needs light, maybe a glass enclosed staircase ? there must be a way of leaving space for light to come through. I am jealous of this endevour and wish you the best of luck, hopefully one day I will come across a home such as this. I agree with you that once the backyard is cleared, it has the makings of a small garden, and as you said with all the countryside just outside, all that is needed is some outside space to sit in, it need not be large. Best of luck and I look forward to your video on the transformation of this petit villa.
Excellent content, you are an inspiration. After a divorce and selling my business mid-2021, I found myself at a loose end and in need of a new adventure and something to keep myself occupied. Being 41 means I still have the energy to push this through and start a new chapter. In November I made the choice to renovate a property abroad (I need more sun) and settled on Portugal. I shortlisted houses on Idealista and I fly out to view houses next week, all very similar to ones you have renovated. I am so glad I found your channel as it has spurred me on to get this sorted and you have covered so many of the things I had questions about. Keep it up!
Love this place – just the sort of place I would get – so random set up – so much scope. maybe the room with no windows could either be an ensuite and large walk in wardrobe if the room before were a bedroom – or if the room before was a kitchen, then the room with no window could be a large larder, utility room and maybe an extra toilet if needed. Followed you since your first video! Cheering you on – from my abandoned village in rural Cyprus. Dawn🥰💙👍
as someone trying to do this for the first time what would you recommend in terms of looking for such plots or houses? what would be an estimate cost to restore something similar? 10k 30k?
Pot plants…? lol. everyone will be happier with their own Pot plants. 😉 teasing of course. kind of…
Looking forward to watching the transformation of the house.
LOL, it's easy to see why it was on the market for so long! I know you will do something amazing with it and I look forward to following this! Your videos are great. Could that little windowless room be a grand walk-in closet? So wonderful to be cleaning up the neighbourhood! Best of luck to you both!
How exciting! Looking forward to watching u guys transform it.
Lots of work.
Wow! What a fabulous place with so much potential! Wonderful that what you'll be doing will also help the immediate community with one less run down home and the reinstatenent of property prices. I can just imagine sitting up on that roof with those fabulous views. I'll be following with keen interest. Best of luck to you both – love from Oz
Interesting! Look forward to the renovation 👍
What's the plan for this house – renovate and sell?
This is not James. This is Jules. I know Jules!
Oh what a mess. Don't have ever get overwhelmed by the amount of work that you've got before you.
Can’t wait to see the finished job
