The Algarve in Portugal is one of my favourite destinations for a sun holiday – I’ve been every year for the last six years – and the best way to stay is on a Clickstay villa holiday.

We stayed in Villa Amarelo, a Clickstay villa, situated in Marim, in between Olhao and Tavira in the east of the Algarve. This villa has absolutely everything – tonnes of outside space, an amazing swimming pool, pool table and BBQ area and it’s spacious, clean and comfortable inside.

Villa holidays are all about relaxing – I love chilling by the pool, sipping on some sangria and eating BBQ food until the sun goes down.

While we were there we visited the beautiful unspoilt island of Armona. This quiet island has a couple of bars and restaurants on it, as well as lots of beautiful little houses and the most stunning white sandy beach I’ve ever seen which we had almost to ourselves. We caught a water taxi from Olhao over to paradise and there are a couple of other islands which you can also visit.
