In this travel vlog, I am exploring the breathtaking Algarve – a region that I always wanted to visit and Lagos definitely lived up to my expectations. When you google “Portugal” most probably the pictures of Lagos, Faro and Algarve beaches will come up first.
Algarve was my second Portuguese town on this solo backpacking in Europe. I went to Lisbon before that (video coming soon) and then I head to Porto. I met other solo travelers here in the hostel and had an AMAZING time with them (love hostel life), I felt so blessed to connect to these like-minded people.
I flew my drone here for the first time and, not gonna lie, I was very nervous haha 😀
Thank you all for watching!

The opening is one of the best sequences you've produced so far. The shots, the edit with you doing yoga, and the music just puts us all there with you in that moment. I know how much effort you put in these videos and I hope more and more people appreciate your work.
Such a beautifully made video again
beautifully filmed and brilliantly narrated. loved your vlog
Excellent video Diana
Love this opening scene soundtrack
Greetings from GE 🌿
Good video, happy to see you posting a new one. I can help you out on the slavery history. A hundred million Africans dead. They died like dogs at every stage. From the land up to 1000 miles in from the coast, to the trip to the coast, to the wait for a ship, to the transportation via ship, to the farm they landed on. When they couldn't work as hard, they were killed. The average slave lasted 7 years. Who was behind this slavery? Well they didn't go to church. You see those responsible did all they could to disguise who they were but we know who they are, we just aren't allowed to name them. Let's use your methodology; follow the money. The three major companies today are BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street. The people behind these companies all follow a particular religion; the same one. They aren't Catholic, or Muslim. Fill in the space. Oh, and a bonus. Look up the religion of the CEOs of the injection companies. Which one? All of them have the same religion. What are the chances of that? And it is a religion with a stated intention to inherit the earth.
Thanx again for another day on your trip. I really enjoy your style of storytelling and it feels like being there in the moment. And to your question: I would stroll around and see what Lagos will offer 🙂 But yes: Excellent food will be on my list.
When I travel to Europe, I admire the beautiful buildings and culture and also know that the beauty is derived from someone’s labor and life. My grandparents worked in the sugar plantations in Hawaii – they harvested the cane that was used to make sugar for other people to make pies. The women sang to persevere under the hot sun like enslaved People did in the southern US.
ორი სალათა თუ შეიძლება გაგვიკეთო აფრიკელ ბამბაზე მომუშავე მონებს :)))) ძაან ლამაზი ადგილია, ფაქტიურად ჭიათურა იყო ოკიანის გარეშე.
Olá, Diana. Belíssimo vídeo. Gostei muito. Um abraço. Ultreya.
The intro was mesmerizing 😍 nice to see from where all the Camino had started 😃😁
Africans were bought by portuguese europeans, they were sold by their own people, europeans didnt start to enslave africans, african slavery started by africans not europeans. they lived way better life working for free in Americas, despite all the horrors commited by europeans and africans, the story should be told not by one side only…
I like it a lot. I've been noticing… not just from this video but also your Camino ones… through the framing of your footage and your editing… you are developing your own unique storytelling voice in these videos. I really like that you are not afraid to let things breathe with chosen footage. Also your presence and relationship with the camera is both arresting and vulnerable… which I consider a charming strength. Keep up the good work and I'll be looking out for more. Yeah, connections made during travel are powerful, brief… as such intense and stay in your memory forever. Cheers!
Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed editing the opening part of the video 🤗
Great video Diana. I visited Lagos from Alberfura a few years ago, Not a lot their. But the coast is Awsome. Sun rise sunset & miles of beach to walk on all along the Algarve.
Take care and stay safe x
