First day of Camino de Santiago | No idea what I’m doing

This video is about my first (scary) day of Camino de Santiago. I’m not sure why but I felt very anxious and nervous in the beginning. I really had no idea what I was doing. I started walking from Porto, Portugal and going to Santiago de Compastela, in the north-west of Spain. The route I’m doing is Coastal Portuguese Camino. The whole route is about 300 kilometers (186 miles) and this is my very first long hike. Wish me luck!

I edited this video in my phone in a tiny village of northern Portugal. The internet and phone capacities aren’t perfect so you have to forgive me for this imperfect video. I know you’ll understand 🥰 few pixels in wrong places don’t really matter, I hope.

  2. Loved your first day. This will be my camino in late August and I'm feeling excited but know I will also be anxious when the day finally comes. Did you train leading up to your camino by long walks at home?

  5. I did the Caminio across from France in 2015. It was the best but hard. I have short legs so it took me 56 days to do 800 km. But the comradeship and help I received along the way was magical. Try not to make mistakes, but they will come. Take them as part of the adventure, it is part of living. Most important get back in touch with your senses.
