Will be interesting to see how things change over the next couple of years – hoping it retains a laid back/slow paced vibe. Overall, Eastern Algarve has much to offer. Going to scout the north next time around, but for now, Tavira tops our list.

The Portuguese rules on Golden Visa as of Summer 2022 one can NO longer purchase residential property in Lisbon, Porto and Algarve. That would present a problem for foreigners , and that dream is no longer an option. Any information about this new rule? Thank you. USA 🇺🇸

The more Pingo Doce, Lidle, Continente and Intermarché there are clustered in proximity = this is a place that has services, year round business and lived by locals.
