So, will the d7 exist? So remote workers will have 2 options? D7 and nomad visa?
My understanding is that visas can only be given outside Portugal as it is a consular process. SEF gives you the residence permit based on the visa obtained at a Portuguese consulate. Residence permits can be granted based on a Declaration of Interest but they aren’t visas. It’s a way to give legal status to those who have arrived as tourists and stayed in Portugal. The Digital Nomad Visa is very similar to the D7 (which used to be also for digital nomads).
