If you’re looking into vanlife and you’re not completely sure it’s for you, you may want to consider renting first. There are lots of different rental options offering different styles of vans. Kristen over at Bearfoot Theory has a great write up of many of the options out there ( but know that whatever style of van you’re thinking about, from minivan to Mercedes Sprinter and everything in between, there are rentals available to try out.
In this video, Lucy from rossmonster rentals in Longmont, Colorado shows us their overlander truck camper and their vintage but modernized VW Vanagon, so you can get an idea of what they have. This company provides high-end rentals with organic bedding and top-of-the-line components and their prices reflect that. Just know that there are economy rentals available on the list at Bearfoot Theory as well if that’s what you’re looking for.
