Michelle and her brother added plenty of sweat equity while renovating this surprisingly spacious and light-filled garage apartment in Bryan, TX, and the finished product is absolutely stunning. With a budget of less than $5,000, this sibling reno team totally transformed the space using salvaged pieces, DIYs, and curated furnishings. The most recent addition includes a gorgeous 200 sq ft patio space, making Michelle’s home perfect for entertaining guests as well as quiet nights at home.

From a garage to a space like this! We love her outdoor space as well as her kitchen. What's your favorite part of her tour? Let us know in the comments.
Are you sure it's only 550 square feet? It's amazing.
I love this space.
Lovely. I would gladly trade the tiny kitchen in my 600sqft where I actually cook for your kitchen where you don't! Raw vegan anyone?
I love this, it's so neat! I love the sleeping nook also but I would have to have my mattress up off the floor..even if I had to build my own platform. I would love some type of wall shelf in there also but I guess you could always use a tray. Just lovely 💗💗💗
Gorgeous space light and cosy
Lovely. Desks have Really gone up in price since Covid.
very nice.
love it! what kind of plant is that near your sofa? The very large one. Thanks!
WOW…….large garage!! Larger & probably a hell of a lot cheaper than a NYC apartment the same size
I'm a New Yorker… this apartment seems HUGE to me…
This is a beautiful space! Looks so cozy!
The apartment is fine but it’s too cluttered for me. I find that Americans (as compared to Europeans) love cluttered spaces
It's got everything including a great outdoor area.
I wish you lived in Washington State!! I design tiny homes and micro apartments. I end up helping with the interior design too as many people need help with the smaller spaces. You did a perfect job on your own home!! Setting zones is so important with limited space. You and your home are just beautiful!! Congrats!! xoxo
"Have a glass of wine and maybe share a little too much …" I fully support this sentence and the world view behind it.
❤
Lovely use of the space, watched twice. Her FLF is living it's best life by that window.
I lived in Bryan for 9 years – I’m impressed that you can be outside for long it’s so hot for like half the year 😂
This is a really cute space! I find it a little funny though, that the kitchen which is "used to make cocktails and coffee" is so large and the bedroom is just a tiny little nook.😄
Love her house and her dress lol
It is really great. I would raise that bed up off the floor and store stuff under it. Love ❤️ 😍 it
Love everything about her space.
That's a lovely place. I love all of the furniture and that sleeping nook is cool.
Beautiful home. Beautiful story. 🤘🏻
Almost everything just love it. The outdoor and the sleeping corner is my favorite.
Loved everything about the space. She has great taste and style. Would've loved to have seen how big the walk-in was since I didn't see any storage anywhere for clothes though she mentioned it.
She's too sophisticated to find value in the Bachelorette, but she'll spend the precious time of her short life watching it anyway. Bonding with other females over snarky comments pertaining to others was brought up in some Big Bang Theory episodes.
Every city/county REQUIRES a certification to LEGALLY do this !!!!!!!..Licensing is required. If a city/ county official discovers such an operation…….property owner would be censored
To LIE on the floor
Love the space….although small, it doesn't feel that way. When you live in a small home, having an outdoor space is EVERYTHING. We do most of our entertaining outside. I love the bathroom that you did. The sleeping space is a little bit too "cozy" for me as I love to sleep with my windows open and fresh air, but aside from that, I could definitely move in and feel right at home. Also, the quote by Mary Oliver that you have framed is one of my favorites and the only quote I also have displayed in my home.
I love Michelle's energy. Warm, creative, and inviting – it's absolutely reflected in her space.
I love your space,well done!💕
I love the sleeping nook! When we all shifted to work from home, I switched my tiny home office (where I used to work from home once a month or so) to my bedroom and moved my bedroom into the home office space, which basically only is large enough for my bed and one table. Works very well, and it's so cozy.
OMYGOD I LOVE your space!!❤️❤️❤️
I love apartment therapy it just makes me dream about the tiny place I’ll have one day. I love how they make small spaces look amazing. I don’t have a ton of stuff so this is what I wish to have one day. I can’t now, but one day.
